Manuel Antonio is a beautiful beach town about two and a half hours from San Jose airport. Thousands flock here each year to breathtaking views of the Pacific.
Manuel Antonio had a much different vibe than La Fortuna where we spent the first half of our vacation. It was active and full of energy. The beaches were a little crowded, there was constant traffic, several little shops, and many restaurants.
You will find exclusive, high end resorts and you will find inexpensive hostels. There truly is something for every budget.
If you stay near Manuel Antonio National Park, you will have fewer people on the beach.
When the sun begins to set, Manuel Antonio Beach becomes a magical place.
Though I loved the relaxed vibe of the Arenal Observaroty better, Manuel Antonio is a not-to-be-missed destination in Costa Rica.
