As a huge fan of jaws, I was excited about Universal Studios Florida rolling out a wave of epic photo‑ops and immersive props across the San Francisco (Amity Island) area this summer celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jaws.
A temporary "Little Amity" area has been installed in the San Francisco zone (near Chez Alcatraz), complete with vintage signs, lanterns and nautical décor recalling the former Amity Island ride zone
Must‑Capture Photo‑Ops
“Bruce” the Hanging Shark.jpg)
This classic great‑white shark replica—affectionately named “Bruce”—hangs menacingly from a beam just like during the former ride days. Guests can pose underneath with jaws agape—it’s the iconic snap you need.
Across from the shark, there’s now a dramatic recreation of Amity 6 under siege, complete with a grenade‑launcher mounted on deck. Pose as if you're steering into danger—dramatic lighting and themed signs make this a standout pic.
Dozens of new signs and banners evoke the vibe of Little Amity, including a fun “Beach Closed” sign and Americana décor hinting at Fourth‑of‑July celebrations These backdrops elevate your photos with nostalgia and charm.
Even if you don't plant to shop, head into the San Francisco Candy Factory which has been filled with Jaws‑themed signage, props, and a vibrant tribute store setup.
Parked at the entrance is a vintage, red Coca-Cola truck styled with fishing gear, barrels, nets, and Amity Island signage, making it look like something straight out of the original Jaws ride queue.

The Jaws 50th Anniversary celebration at Universal Studios Florida is a must-see for fans of this iconic film and the classic Universal attraction. From the red vintage Amity truck and the famous hanging shark photo spot to the boat attack scene and nostalgic décor inside the Candy Factory, these immersive photo ops bring the spirit of Amity Island back to life.
This is a limited event that is said to disappear after July 6th, 2025!
