There are so many great deals on flights to Europe from the US right now. The best way to find the cheapest flights is to go to Skyscanner. Type in your nearest large airport and type "Everywhere" in the "to" box. (A blue pop up box will usually appear).
Under date click the "whole month" tab and then click "cheapest month." This will give you an idea of everywhere you can fly and what the price will be.
It's my favorite search tool for flights.
