I just got back from an amazing Caribbean cruise, and I can’t wait to share all the details! We set sail from the port in Galveston, Texas, and made our way to Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras. Every stop was beautiful, the trip was unforgettable, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite photos with you.
In Cozumel, we decided to skip the cruise excursions and take a taxi over to the Iberostar Resort instead. The day pass was $63, and the taxi ride for all four of us was just $19.
The pool area was stunning—wide, inviting, and crystal clear. The surrounding grounds were beautifully landscaped, clean, and well cared for. It created such a relaxing atmosphere that we could’ve stayed there all day.
This unique driftwood sculpture was set up along the Iberostar beachfront, covered in seashells that were hung and carefully stacked around its base. I tried to find out the story or meaning behind it, but so far I haven’t been able to uncover its history.
We had breakfast when we arrived and I must say that out of all of my travels, this was the most elaborate buffet I have ever seen. Not only was it beautiful but it was delicious.
The banana smoothie was wonderful. It was the only one that I tried but I am sure the others were just as great.
I tried a variety a fruit compotes and they were so good, that I am compiling a list of recipes to try to make myself.
There was a variety of birds and animals wandering the property including flamingos, parrots, peacocks, and iguanas.
My grandson enjoyed the ice cream and feeding the peacocks some of his chips.
I loved the rentals on the property and checked the prices once I returned home. You can rent rooms for as low as $77 a night. I am so surprised at how affordable they are.
