While my sister and I was traveling the Texas Hill Country photographing bluebonnets, we ran across an employee of Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). When we asked for recommendations for a beautiful location to photograph, he suggested Mulseshoe Bend. And boy was he right ! It was perfect!
There was miles and miles of bluebonnets along with many other photographers.
There was a couple of ladies riding horses and they agreed to do some action shots for us.
Looking at the photo above, you would think this was a pre-planned photo shoot. We had a great time joining in to get some of our own shots.

- Muleshoe Bend has the honor box pay system. The cost is $5.00 for the day or they have primitive camping for $10.
- Facilities - When you enter the park, there are restrooms located on the left.
- The park is primitive with no running water and a few chemical toilets.
- Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash.
WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENT
Carry some bottled water and snacks. There are no stores nearby.
