VISITING BEAN POINT ON ANNA MARIA ISLAND

Nestled at the northern tip of Anna Maria Island, Bean Point is a hidden gem that captures the essence of old Florida charm. Named after George Emerson Bean, the island’s first permanent resident, this serene location offers visitors a tranquil escape from the bustling tourist spots further south.

Parking near Bean Point on Anna Maria Island can be limited due to its secluded and natural surroundings. If you are staying nearby, we rentend an Airbnb (you can ready about rental here) you can easily walk to the beach but if you are not staying on the island, there are a few options: 

1. Gulf Boulevard: There is a small parking area located at the intersection of Gulf Boulevard and North Shore Drive. From here, you can walk to Bean Point via a short trail that leads through the residential area and sand dunes.
2. Pine Avenue: Another option is to park near Pine Avenue and North Shore Drive. This area has some street parking available, but it can fill up quickly during peak times.
3. City Pier Park: If you're willing to take a longer walk, you can park at City Pier Park located near the Anna Maria City Pier. From there, it's about a 15-20 minute walk north along the beach to reach Bean Point.
4. Trolley Service: Anna Maria Island offers a free trolley service that runs along the island, including stops near Bean Point. Using the trolley can be convenient if you prefer not to drive or if parking is scarce.

We entered through this beach access located at North Shore Dr and Fern St.

There are limited facilities at Bean Point itself. Visitors are advised to bring their own supplies, such as water, snacks, and sunscreen. There are no restaurants or shops directly at Bean Point, so plan accordingly.

Best Times to Visit:

Bean Point is beautiful year-round, but mornings and weekdays are generally quieter. Sunset is particularly picturesque, offering stunning views over the Gulf.
