When we were headed to the Florida Keys, we decided to break up the drive with a few stops along the way. One of those stops was Panama City Beach, where we stayed at this condo at Continental Condominiums.
With more than 100 reviews and an impressive 4.98-star rating at the time of our stay, it caught our attention when we were looking for a place to spend the night. The location was convenient, the condo was nicely updated, and it turned out to be a great stop along our road trip.
Inside the Condo
The condo had been recently remodeled and was nicely decorated with updated furnishings. The kitchen was especially nice, with white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a glass tile backsplash.
It was a comfortable and attractive space, and we had everything we needed for our stay.
One thing to know before booking, though, is that this is actually a studio rather than a traditional one-bedroom condo. There isn't a separate living room or sitting area. The bed, kitchen, and bathroom are all part of the same compact space.
For the two of us, this worked well for a short stay. However, I would keep the layout in mind if you're traveling with a family or planning a longer vacation.
The Location
The location was one of the best things about this condo. Continental Condominiums is directly across the street from the beach, so getting out to enjoy the Gulf was easy.
It's also close to Pier Park, Margaritaville, restaurants, shopping, and other Panama City Beach attractions. Since we were only stopping for a short time on our way to the Florida Keys, having so many things nearby was especially convenient.
Amenities
The property has a swimming pool that is seasonally heated, elevators, and a coin-operated laundry area.
There is also an onsite restaurant, Flipper's Beach Restaurant, along with vending machines and a designated BBQ area. Parking is available for one vehicle during your stay.
The entire building is non-smoking as well.
Enjoying the Balcony
One of my favorite features was the private balcony. It was a nice place to sit and relax after being on the road, and we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets from there.
Since the condo doesn't have a separate sitting area inside, having the balcony gave us another place to sit and enjoy some fresh air.
We really enjoyed our stay at Continental Condominiums. It was clean, nicely updated, and in a great location, making it a convenient stop during our road trip to the Florida Keys.
For us, it was a great place to stop, relax, and recharge before continuing our drive south toward the Florida Keys.
