COASTAL CHARM OF CEDAR KEY

Located 90 miles directly north of St. Pete/Clearwater, Cedar Key is not readily accessible. You'll need to drive to the western terminus of state road 24 to reach it, and there isn't much to catch your eye along the journey. Surrounded by federally protected land, Cedar Key lies far from the usual tourist routes, which may enhance its allure; reaching here requires a genuine desire to experience it.

HIGHLIGHTS OF CEDAR KEY

1. Charming Small Town Vibe: Cedar Key's quaint streets are lined with historic buildings, local shops, and art galleries. The laid-back atmosphere invites you to slow down and soak in the coastal charm. There are no high rises or huge apartment complexes. It literally looks like an fishing village from an old movie set.

2. Unspoiled Environment: Cedar Key is a sanctuary for artists, writers, and adventure seekers who draw inspiration from its untouched natural beauty. Every year, thousands of visitors flock to this charming town for events like the "Old Florida Celebration of the Arts" in April, the 4th of July festivities, the October Seafood Festival, the Pirate Festival, and the Stargazing Party in February.

With its diverse natural landscapes, from salt marshes to ancient Indian shell mounds, this area is truly a paradise for nature enthusiasts.
