HOW CUTE IS THIS?

I just had to share these pics of my grandson on the beach in Galveston.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites in Galveston the day before our cruise.  The hotel was okay and I have no major complaints.  Just be aware that there is a charge for the shuttle to the cruise port and it's not cheap.   

REVIEW ON DAYS INN ~ GALVESTON, TEXAS

Once we decided to stay in Galveston  the first night of our Texas Roadtrip, we started searching for a place to stay.  Since we had a very tight budget, we searched for the most inexpensive hotels we could find near the beach.  

After reading a lot of reviews, we decided to stay at this Days Inn.  The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.  The bedding was comfortable and the rooms were well cooled.  The room also had a small refrigerator and microwave.  

Exploring the Aquarium at Moody Gardens in Galveston

During our visit to Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas, we spent some time exploring the Aquarium Pyramid. While I had been especially excited about seeing the Tropical Rainforest, my daughter actually enjoyed the Aquarium even more.

After visiting the rainforest, we made our way over to the Aquarium to see what was waiting for us beneath the pyramid.

Moody Gardens in Galveston: Tropical Rainforest & Aquarium

Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas, had been on my travel bucket list for years. So when we decided to take a road trip along the Texas coast, I knew I wanted to begin in Galveston with a visit to Moody Gardens and, especially, the Tropical Rainforest Pyramid.

We also decided to visit the Aquarium while we were there, and as it turned out, my daughter enjoyed the Aquarium even more than the rainforest.

TRAVELING TO GALVESTON, TEXAS

When we decided to take a road trip along the Texas Coast, I knew I wanted to start in Galveston. I had not been there in over 30 years and I had always wanted to visit Moody Gardens.  It was also one of the closest beaches to Arkansas and we headed out with storm warnings in the forecast.

  When you are traveling with a 7 month old, you have to make extra pit stops.  We stopped at a very nice and clean rest stop.  It was one of the best maintained rest stops I have visited.  There was also a nice play area for children.
