If you’re looking for a Florida beach town where life moves a little slower, Mexico Beach may be just what you’re looking for.
Located along Florida’s Gulf Coast in the Panhandle, Mexico Beach is the kind of place that invites you to put your schedule aside for a while. There are beautiful stretches of white sand, clear Gulf waters, spectacular sunsets, and a small-town atmosphere that feels very different from some of Florida’s busier beach destinations.
I have visited Mexico Beach twice, and both visits reminded me of what I enjoy most about Florida’s smaller coastal communities—the opportunity to simply slow down and enjoy being near the water.
